Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC)

We create and sustain links between primary school science and industry’s people and practices.

Here at CIEC, we aim to promote excellence in primary science teaching and learning, increase children's and teachers' awareness of STEM careers and industries, and raise children's science capital.

How we support industry

We highlight STEM opportunities for young people by building visible links between science education and its application in industry and related careers. Our expertise helps you to increase and sustain the number of local children considering a future within your industry.

CIEC offers science industries a range of tailored approaches to work with schools, supporting your CSR and community outreach goals.

Inspire the next generation

How we support schools

We provide free downloadable science publications and interactive websites that support the teaching of the UK's science curricula for 4-12 year olds.

We also offer training and CPD on the teaching and learning of science, and on increasing children’s science capital.
