Interactive Planning Tool

CIEC’s Interactive Planning Tool supports children in working together to consider all the possible variables in an investigation. It enables them to organise their ideas and clarify their thinking throughout an open-ended investigation or scientific enquiry.

It provides a structure to help decide which variable they are going to change; which ones they will need to keep the same; what to measure and how to use the information obtained from the investigation to draw a simple conclusion. Guidance about how to use the tool can be found here.
